Nude Lips

December 4, 2013

Lady Gaga Versace
Lady Gaga is looking majorly fierce in the new Versace campaign. I love, love, LOVE the nude lip in this shot (image credit: Fashion Gone Rogue). It’s a perfect example of how you don’t need a dark lip color to pull an evening look together. She is literally glowing — and to me, this picture shows that an undone and natural look can read surprisingly….DONE UP.

Nude lipstick works beautifully on all skin tones, I promise. Check out the images below — I guarantee that whether you’re seeking a light, medium, dark, warm OR cool shade, you’ll find one that works for you. You just need to look in the right place(s). And, when you apply the lipstick, make sure to use a liner in a similar shade. Another tip (that specifically applies to matte lipsticks) is to dot the center of your lips with gloss after putting the lipstick on so that your whole face doesn’t look totally matte and washed out.

I’ve included a few nude lipsticks in various shades below. This is just the tip of the iceberg, and you’ll see that a trip to Sephora or Ulta will reveal many more choices! Until then, enjoy these options, ranging in cost from  $7.50 to $49.

Carla. You’re awesome. For whatever reason, a nude lip is always my go to look for most occasions. It’s a great everyday look for me and I can totally rock it for a special night out. My personal fav right now is Marc Jacobs’ “Severine” paired with Mary Kay’s “Celebrate” lip gloss. Thanks for your always fun, helpful. and informative insight. Luv ya girl!
